Anyone who remembers the fraggly guitar-pop scene that thrived over here in the late 80's, before the grunge behemoth lurched into gear, will know exactly what Intoxica sound like - and they do it rather well. There will be a brief nostalgic glow brought on by the enthusiastic yelp of the vocal and bouncy lite-metal guitar, and then you'll move on with a bit of a grin.
If you don't remember, then it's quite possible that the energetic rush, seasoned here with a bit of a goth sneer, will still have the same aural crack effect on unsullied teenage ears. In which case you could be following them round the country in your mate's beat up old Metro before I can utter the words Mega-City Four. And who could blame you?
