A download only track on iTunes, this draws on many influences whilst sounding as good as the sum of its parts. As it starts you wonder if your speakers are working properly such is the squelch coming from them, morphing into a Plug In Baby style background riff which carries the song along perfectly. Lyrically a more gothic Suede springs to mind as lead singer Alexandra sings “we’re the only ones, we’re the lonely ones” and more 90’s acts are evoked when the acoustic interlude appears a la OK Computer era Radiohead. Softly spoken vocal parts entice you in further before finishing with an outro reminiscent of Chemical Brothers at their most atmospheric. Come have a listen to what these musical magpies have on offer.
