The Patty Winters Show People Like Us Aren’t Meant to Win Things

Both sides of the debut release for London’s The Patty Winters Show are scuzzed up messes of clunking rhythms, thudding percussion, contrasting flat male and sharp female vocals that race along... and then go quiet... But then they go LOUD again. It all sounds like the grungy stuff Steve Albini produced when he reconstructed the Wedding Present with pink iron girders. If you want your ears to bleed and then be dabbed with a cotton bud, this is the record for you. Weirdo.
