A Ray of hope for next week - Beeb releases huge Kinks collection

Dedicated followers of The Kinks will have something to look forward to next week. It sees the release of a phenomenal 54 track collection of material recorded by the band, titled The Kinks Live at the BBC. The release is collated from BBC-owned Kinks recordings that still exist in the archive and charts the inexorable rise of the band. The BBC gave the band a platform and support at crucial stages in their career and The Kinks at the BBC plays like an alternate Greatest Hits, a musical growing up in public.

This two CD version includes over 50 live tracks from various performances and venues, including the Playhouse Theatre, Maida Vale Studios, Kensington House and the Hippodrome.

Released by Sanctuary, the track listing is as follows:
