An update on Darren Hayman's current and future activities has arrived at SoundsXP Towers...
On August the 4th Darren releases his third album this year. Great British Holiday EPs is a twenty track compilation of all four of Darren's limited seven inch EPs. The compilation includes four unreleased songs and covers of famous holiday songs like Margate by Chas n Dave. The CD also comes with a DVD featuring 5 videos and a 25 minute documentary.
The album is available now directly from the Hefnet shop and will be available in shops via Cargo and Itunes.
Darren also plays a select few dates through July and August.
On the 4th of July Darren DJs at the 100 Club in Oxford Street for the How Does It Feel Club. His set starts at 10:30pm.
On the 15th of July Darren supports The Wave Pictures and Coming Soon. It’s a solo set with some new tunes and oddities.
19th and 20th July Latitude Festival. Darren has a low key appearance at the festival, playing songs as part of Robin Inces School for Gifted Children.
24th July The Forum Tunbridge Wells. Darren previews more songs and does a few old ones down in Kent. Also on the bill is Darren’s favourite new band, Esiotrot (who will soon feature on a forthcoming SoundsXP release on our label offshoot, Sounds eXPerience).
26th July Indie Tracks festival Derbyshire. Darren plays with the latest line up of the Secondary Modern. He plays in the little tin church.
10th August. The Secondary Modern travel to Zaragoza and plays as part of the towns Expo.
13th and 14th September, End of the Road Festival. Darren and Jack play their set of Hefner songs for the last time.
