Helen McCookerybook dishes up tour and ex Slits / Raincoats feast

We'd already announced that 80s indiepop pioneers The Chefs have a compilation due out, titled "Records and Tea", featuring all their recordings. Now, Helen McCookerybook, the former frontperson, has announced a tour. She is hitting the road for some gigs supporting The Daintees as well as taking part in a gig featuring three of the best known female first generation punks who helped define their era with Viv Albertine (The Slits) and Gina Birch (The Raincoats) at The Verge in Hyde on 24 March.
