New LP from Guided By Voices and MP3 taster

A new Guided By Voices album Let's Go Eat The Factory, featuring all new material from the classic Guided By Voices line up of Robert Pollard, Tobin Sprout, Greg Demos, Mitch Mitchell, and Kevin Fennell will be released by Fire Records. The album will be available on CD / Gatefold LP and Digital download to the World outside North America on 16 January 2012.

There will also be a 7" single for the track "Doughnut for a Snowman" which includes 4 non-lp b-sides, which is also due out on Fire Records on 28 November. The other tracks are "So High" – a previously recorded (unreleased) Robert Pollard song (with Pollard playing the recorder), a portion of which was edited into the song "Doughnut for the Snowman" for the album; "Without Necks" and "Fish On My Leg" were recorded at Mitch's house by Bob, Mitch & GBV secret weapon Jim Pollard; "1234" is a new Tobin Sprout song.
