News of Darren Hayman's Vostok 5 art and music project

You can see and hear the results of Darren Hayman's latest spin-off project Vostok 5 very soon. The art exhibition/music project features four other artist musicians, Duncan Barrett/Tigercats, Robert Rotifer, Sarah Lippett and Paul Rains from Allo Darlin/Hexicon. The work is based upon the theme of People and Animals in Space and the exhibition takes place from 1st to the 7th September at The Outside World Gallery, Shoreditch, London E2 7DP. Amongst Darren's contribution is 27 colour drawings of the dogs Russia sent into space in the 1950s and 60s.

There will be 500 numbered copies of the album, featuring 9 songs and a rather attractive poster. The first 20 numbers will be on sale at Darren's gig with the Secondary Modern at the Buffalo Bar on Saturday 13th August Tickets are available from here
