It's all Go For the Slow Club

Article written by Paul M
Mar 13, 2008.

SoundsXP faves Slow Club have announced a string of dates supporting The Duke Spirit as well as a residency at Camden’s The Enterprise. With only two Moshi Moshi singles under their belt so far, Slow Club’s charismatic live shows are significantly swelling their fanbase at present.

Slow Club are two kids hailing from Sheffield, who came together as a band in their gap year (only a year ago). Citing Leonard Cohen, Rod Stewart and “show tunes” as influences, childhood friends Charles and Rebecca mine a musical seam all of their own, churning up a joyous and absolutely individual blend of pop, folk, and rockabilly as they go.

Here are those live dates with Duke Spirit, details of The Enterprise residency and beyond:

23 Mar @ Rescue rooms w/ Duke Spirit Nottingham
25 Mar @ Koko w/ Duke Spirit, London
25 Mar White Heat @ Madame Jojo’s, London (headlining)
