Special date for Daniel Johnston with full orchestra

Daniel Johnston

American cult genius Daniel Johnston has announced a special show on 2nd April 2010 at London's Troxy. For the first time in his touring career, Daniel will be accompanied by the 11 members of the Dutch orchestra “BEAM”. The orchestra will collaborate and accompany Johnston with musical arrangements of Johnston's classics as well as his newer songs.

The 'BEAM' orchestra features:
Bart van Dongen: keyboards, arrangements
Eric van der Westen: double bass, arrangements
Yonga Sun: drums
Richard van Kruijsdijk: electronics, keyboard, electronic percussion, arrangements
Andreas van Zoelen: bass saxophone, baritone saxophone, arrangements
Guido Nijs: tenor-, alt-, soprano saxofonen
Michiel Stekelenburg: acoustic-, electric guitar
Bruno Nelissen: electric guitar
Yvonne van de Pol: violin
Jacqueline Hamelink: cello
Hans Sparla: trombone and accordion

Tickets for the 14+ show are priced at £16.50 and will be available from Platforms Live and SeeTickets as of 9AM, Monday 22nd February.
