As easy as A-B-See See... Unsigned 18th Day of May spin off support Raconteurs

Article written by Paul M
Apr 24, 2008.

Despite not actually being signed, SoundsXP tips for 2008, The See See, have just been hand-picked by BIG LABEL MEGA STARS The Raconteurs to open for their two UK dates: Hammersmith Apollo, London (May 14th) and Carling Academy, Liverpool (May 15th).

The See See are a new project from Swedish musician Richard Olson (founder member of The Eighteenth Day of May). When The May sadly decided to call it a day at the start of 2007, Richard joined up with Detroit refugees Kevin Peyok (Waxwings) and Ben Swank (Soledad Brothers) plus Yorkshire folkster Pete Greenwood. The band released their first limited edition 7" single (Up the Hill / Citadel Shuffle) on Great Pop Supplement in March 2008 which sold out in two weeks.

The band will be playing one show prior to The Raconteurs tour at The Old Blue Last, 38 Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch, London, EC2A 3ES London on May 2nd 2008.
