The Wave Pictures announce new UK tour and single

After a summer spent criss-crossing the continent playing a host of festivals, The Wave Pictures get ready for a run of UK autumn dates and the release of a new single. ‘Strawberry Cables’ is out on the 26th October on 7” and download through Moshi Moshi. Full details of the headline UK tour, including a show at London’s The Garage, are below.

The band will be supported on the tour by long time collaborator Stanley Brinks (aka Andre Herman Dune) plus Freschard. Stanley’s horn playing also features ‘Strawberry Cables’ – a song which The Wave Pictures frontman David Tattersal describes “as very sad” and the horn sections of which were influenced by a Lou Reed’s ‘New York City Man’.

‘Strawberry Cables’ is taken from current album ‘If You Leave It Alone’. The band start their third tour of Spain from tomorrow (23rd Sept), and hop over to the UK for the following headline dates via a substantial run in Germany:
