Villagers in the city to perform in tunnels venue

Article written by Paul M - Jun 28, 2010

Villagers
Villagers
Villagers will be performing the first ever live concerts at London’s Old Vic Tunnels on Wednesday the 4th and Thursday the 5th of August 2010. These will be Villagers first headlining London dates since selling out Bush Hall in May and will coincide with the release of their new single, the wondrous ‘Ship Of Promises’, from their debut album ‘Becoming A Jackal’.

In January 2010, The Old Vic acquired the license from Lambeth Council to use Tunnels 228-232 beneath Waterloo Station as a performance venue until the end of December following the critical success of Tunnel 228 – a collaborative project between The Old Vic and Punchdrunk, which combined theatre performance and art installation.

The aim is to present all elements of Discovery, for a more affordable ticket price with an eye to new collaborations.
