The Race

The Race are a young five piece from Reading currently making exciting, visceral music with drums the size of the moon and choruses which could envelop entire planets. 'Go Figure� has a chorus that needs to be hemmed in with the whirling guitars and stapled down with the smashing drums to prevent it flying off in to the stratosphere before everything falls away to reveal quivering falsetto vocals. �Raising Children� meanwhile is a gentler proposition that allows the vocals to be showcased and the band to demonstrate their firm hold on a melody.

In simple x + y terms it is Pixies + Muse, but it would take a fool to deny the sky scraping and mouth watering potential of this band.
