Single Review

1984 Cache Cache
Weekender Records

Article written by Ged M
Feb 25, 2008.

A band from Strasbourg, France, the dense and dark guitar rock and sense of accumulating paranoia on both sides of this single, plus the impassive vocals, sound more like our own Joy Division and Editors. ‘Cache Cache’ (“hide and seek”) is the stand out, constructed out of gloomy post punk rhythms that peel apart to reveal a glorious Franz Ferdinand-style chorus. It’s powerful stuff but with a sweet centre. Suck it and see.
