I'm not sure if this has appeared in the shops yet but limited to only 500 and each with an individually numbered and handpainted sleeve doodling by the artists concerned, it surely won't be available long. There's a huge contrast between the two sides. On one, Darren is joined by Elizabeth Morris of Allo Darlin on plaintive vocals, to deliver I Know I Fucked Up, a very maudlin ditty about love, retribution and regret. It's a terrific ballad but probably not for anyone who's recently arsed up a relationship. On the flip, Darren is accompanied by those kooky strummers The Wave Pictures with typically Jonathan Richman-esq results (assuming Richman was from Teesside) as the boys gently tease Hartlepool about its reputation for confusing simians with Frenchmen.

Both of these songs featured amongst the thirty one that Darren wrote and recorded during the mighty tune-a-day sessions he worked through this January. The full collection of songs can be purchased from Bandcamp
