Gregoryz Girl
Moving Mountains White

Article written by James G
Jul 4, 2008.

Gregoryz Girl have sent us a CD of their new release to review. It’s called ‘Moving Mountains’ and was released on Monday June 30th. There’s four tracks on it. The titles of the four tracks are ‘Moving Mountains’ ‘All Along’ ‘You Know Where You Are (With Me)’ and ‘Real Eyes Now’. They range in length between 3 minutes 14 seconds to 4 minutes 17 seconds. There are five members of the band, playing drums, bass guitar, rhythm guitar, lead guitar and vocals. The singer, Leah Gregory, sings the words, in tune, over the backing of the instruments. The songs are constructed in a way that is quite popular, relying on a repetition of a chorus, with a verse in between, and a change part after the first couple of choruses. The words tend to rhyme with each other at the end of the line. They have a letter ‘z’ at the end of the first word in their name, where it would probably be correct to have a possessive apostrophe and a letter ‘s’. And that is the most interesting thing about them.
