Prepare for an avalanche of triangle gags, as this Glaswegian four piece offer up a double-A side debut of impossibly jaunty indie pop. “Kitch Bitch” has a Beatles riff a la Paperback Writer and a repetitive chant along chorus that grates with repeated listening. “Watertight” recalls elements of both Dogs Die in Hot Cars and Franz Ferdinand, with its choppy guitar, weird-y synth and vocal harmonies. Both are the kind of thing you could take a hammer to if you were feeling overwrought, but the sheer exuberance just about carries the day. And no, both sides are not the same length. Sorry.
