The Pines

Phantom Limb may look like they've just stepped off the first Pan Am flight from Georgia clutching a bottle of whiskey and a bunch of Eagles records but their brand of Southern States country soul actually comes via Great Western Railways and Bristol. It's AOR and produced by Marc Ford of the Black Crowes but seriously don't let any of that put you off. If the foottapping mandolin and warm harmonies don't convince you that it's actually darn good then Yolanda Quartey's fabulous rich soaring vocals surely will.
