Dissolving Time / Spiralina Girl Missing Page (Download)

Shirley Lee recently released an album away from his usual Spearmint moniker because he felt the tracks were too personal to him. Well this download single features a couple of the highlights and they make a convincing case for its purchase. Dissolving Time fizzes along on shimmering keyboard waves but it's the second track Spiralina Girl that commands the repeat plays; a terrific brewing love song with clever lyrics that bursts into a catchy chorus and then like a stolen first kiss just before the last bus turns up, puckers off.. which is a shame because the cringeworthy, expletive riddled final track Restless Soul is neither big nor clever and ruins the feelgood factor somewhat.
