It’s always disappointing when you can predict what a band will look like from its music. Maybe they wear three piece suits during the week and babydoll nighties on Sunday but I doubt it; this is clearly the sound of skinny jeans and trilbies…The Guildean Gang are another bunch of Liberteenies, this time from Bedford and Biggleswade. The music is fast and frantic urchin-rock though ‘Swirls’ is remarkably unremarkable, proving impossible to recall even as the last notes are still tooting from the stereo. ‘Pat Attack’ is better, a frazzled ska-styled guitar fury and a rabble-rousing chorus. Remember Larrikin Love? They surely do!
