Attention student DJs! The cowbell-heavy ‘Half Cut’ is pure indie-disco, all edgy vocals, taut guitars and a thumping beat, and sure to fill floors come the Fresher’s Ball season. It sounds not unlike the Sunshine Underground, which is odd two-times: one, because their Daley Smith produced one of the remixes here and, two, because that’s probably the better version with its keyboard embellishments and reinforced beats. Still, worth hearing (and freely downloading from 14 July) while slurping your snakebite and sizing up that girl from the history lectures.
