The Icypoles

An all female four piece from Australia, The Icypoles's indiepop is shambling and simple, treading a fine line between being great and just grating. The EP's contents veer between sparse lo-fi folky balladry (Promise to Stay), 60s Gallic kitsch (One Day) and frothy Dolly Mixture-style cutiness, so probably one for fans of the Pipettes (when they were half good).
