The Lodger’s new single is a brilliant janglefest of 80s inflected discopop. It’s ultra-catchy and you’ll hear Orange Juice and the Smiths in the mix, while his lyrics have a Gedge-like gloomily romantic quality. Wonderful! The electropop remix from The Slips, also on the single, updates the sound unnecessarily; the innocent 80s version is the best.
