There are lots of girls currently talking about relationship breakdowns (Kate N, Florence and the Machine) and Amy T heads towards Splitsville on her latest single. It’s a bigger band sound with a too-obvious melody, which makes for pleasant enough listening, but it’s far too much of a generic moody-girl-moan to be memorable. The flipside’s ‘Divided’ restores the dark, slightly stalkerish pop sound that characterises her best songs and proves that, however you try to shape her, she’s not just another singer-songwriter.
