Article written by Paul M - Oct 14, 2007

It's hard to imagine that the bearded grizzler with the booming voice performing on this is in any way the same guy who played bass in, and wrote the songs for, hopeless 90s kiddie punkers Symposium, whose only real claim to fame was that their frontman once broke a bone or two by falling off the stage while performing. The young idiot. Still, forgive and forget, eh, and besides this is rather splendid. Just shy of four minutes it's a stirring, chest beating anthem that's part Polish folk song and part Arcade Fire string loveliness. On the flip, the b-side is a riff heavy rocker, with hints of the Foo Fighters and the Manics but better than anything either have produced for at least a decade.
