The Kabeedies - darlings of the split screen

Seemingly hundreds of bands try to do what the Kabeedies do, but few hit the right note of enthusiasm for the actual music rather than just the fact of being in a band. Jitterbug is one of the more downbeat pieces from the Kabeedies rather excellent album of guitar pop loveliness and given a wash and brush-up for this download single. Everything’s relative of course and there’s still plenty of leaping around to be done even though it’s basically built around a Joy Division bass motif.

Still endearing stuff then and you get a couple of rougher acoustic cuts of other Rumpus tunes into the bargain. I love ‘em, my kids love ‘em - job’s a good’un.
