Tilly and the Wall - Pot Kettle Black

Twee by name, twee by nature surely? Famed for having tap dancing by way of percussion, the last thing you might expect from Tilly and the Wall is a glam stomp (literally as far as the stomp goes, though there's plenty of drums too). It's bratty, shouty, full of fuzzy riffing, tumbling keyboards and handclap energy. A lot of fun.
On the flip, Save Me Now is a bit more expected though with a Kinks-like rolling strum and slide guitar backing the male vocal. Heartbeats is different again, a fragment of a ballad with stately harmonies offsetting a nicely hamfisted piano.Which makes for a fine little single overall.
