Thing is though this recalls the period in the mid 90's where the selectors had the choice between Robert Croft and Phil Tufnell... Croftie almost always got the nod ahead of Tuffers but there was no way he could win a match. Phil could... same scenario here. Yeah Gilo is known for consistency and accuracy but you never look at any scorecard and it says "career best figures for Giles with 7-31" do you?
