I missed them live a few years back due to the Leadmill's infuriating tendency to start (and finish) gigs ridiculously early so they can have a drinks promotion after. Arrived for the last few bars of the last song.
(Mind you, they were third on the bill - worse was the time I rolled up at 8:30 to find that the headline band had already started..)

Saw them quite a bit in the early days - upstairs at the Garage, Nambucca etc.....they were great.
Their first few singles were fantastic.
And as an aside this picture of Kate's feet are my most popular photo on flickr

I mean when they first appeared I was sympathetic to what they were trying to achieve, they were just crap at it... A bit too much style over substance for my liking.
That said - it's not nice to hear of someone's career getting hampered by suffering a stroke at such a young age
