I'm a friend of Kev W's and can confirm he's still alive and kicking, I can't say the same about his internet connection however.
He has been having difficulties with his health but he's receiving help with that and, although it may take a little time, fingers crossed he's on the road to recovery - having said that he recently text me:
'The new Horrors album is one of the best baggy/shoegaze albums I've heard in ages'
and
'The Vaccines were excellent at T in The Park'
so clearly still a long way to go!
I'm sure he'll be back to spamming up your board in no time but I think I can speak on his behalf and say that he'd like you all to know that: 'Fergie is a whiskey addled tyrant and Mancini is the saviour of mankind' or something like that anyway.
I'll let him know he's missed
