Me and my then girlfriend used to listen to 'Nature Creates Freaks' a lot when we were in our late teens and it definitely contributed to us deciding to form a band ourselves.
I loved her voice and songwriting, and I've always held the opinion that if it hadn't been such an odd/shit time in music back then (nu metal, Travis, Stereophonics, Texas) Cay would've enjoyed much greater success.
They did have a genuine cult following and after the band split suddenly amidst rumours of drug problems and disharmony there continued to be a "Whatever Happened To Anet Mook?" campaign over the next 10 years.
Seems her life ended up a fairly sad story, real shame. But 'least she made some great music.
