Matmos - A Chance to Cut is a Chance to Cure

Glitch electronica consisting of audio samples of medical procedures, most memorably liposuction and a nose being snapped.

Wolf Eyes - Burned Mind

Rotted noise band almost hits the mainstream after being signed by Sub Pop. Produces songs called 'Stabbed in the Face' and 'Dead in a Boat'.

V/VM - Hate You

Notable for the scribbled Russ Abbott featuring cover. Title track is a twenty minute destruction of 'Hey Jude' by The Beatles.

Nate Wooley - The Almond

72 minute single-track album of sustained looped trumpet tones. Equal parts harsh and beautiful.

Colin Webster and Graham Dunning - Estigate

An album of duo improvisations weaving together tenor/bari sax and a turntable being played with dentistry tools and pencils.

Gail Brand and Morgan Guberman - Dig a Ditch and Get In

Another improvising duo album, this one for trombone and vocals. Like an incredibly drunk Tom Waits.

KTL - V

Amazing drone album from two masters of the form. Final track 'Last Spring: A Prequel' will melt your mind - an alternately gruff and terrified French voice seemingly struggles with demonic possession for 20 minutes over abstract noise that sounds like a field-recording of hell.

After making two of the greatest, oddest garage singles of the 1960s, College Psychology Of On Love/ Babe We're Not Part Of Society by Churchmice and One More Day, One More Night/Lord My Cell Is Cold by Kack Klick, Armand Schaubroeck made this triple concept album, an autobiographical rock opera with spoken words between each song, and all re-enacting the story of how Armand went to jail for stealing.

It includes many fine albums, but their definition of weird eludes me. It seems to be a mix of left field acts, outsider artists, records that broke new ground at the time of release, mainstream artists departing from their usual sound and stuff that I wouldn't describe as weird at all. Some artists (Patty Waters, Sun Ra & Throbbing Gristle for example) are represented by albums that I wouldn't necessarily consider their weirdest. It might have been more appropriate to call it 50 greatest weird albums, not 50 weirdest.
Any way what albums do you all think are weird that didn't make the Mojo list? Use any definitions of weird you like, Mojo certainly seem to have used the term subjectively.

The Ralph Records 10th Anniversary Album was definitely worthy of inclusion in the Mojo list, but a Resident's album proper surely warrants a place too.
To quote Wikipedia, "The pieces on Eskimo are generally made up of sound effects, occasional playing on home-made instruments and gibberish standing in for actual Inuit. The stories were all created by the group and, despite their claims otherwise, is not meant to be a true historical document of life in the Arctic."
The sleevenote stories are designed to be read in time with listening to the album.

Bob Harrington, 'Chaplain Of Bourbon Street' talks for the entire first side of this album about why Madalyn Murray O'Hair 'America's Atheist Leader' must be stopped. Mae West ... Way Out West

The Hollywood actress, well into her 70s at the time, tackles songs by the likes of The Beatles, John Lee Hooker, Johnny Kidd & The Pirates and Percy Sledge. Five years later, pushing 80 she recorded another album of rock standards, Great Balls Of Fire, which includes her covering The Doors!
