Formed in 2009, Away With The Faeries are a contemporary folk experience with a difference. They keep a busy diary gigging across London, and beyond. and will launch their eponomous debut album which will be available on line and at live shows from this evening.
“Enticingly quirky” (It's All Happening). Chloe Elizabeth Hunter and Jo Mepham (vocals), Alex Creese (guitar) and Olly Miller (flute) occasionally augmented by electric guitar and double bass. Literally a quartet and a half, they are ethereal, humorous, occasionally sardonic, and always entertaining!
They have earned such a great reputation that they have already graced top venues including The Jazz Cafe and 100 Club, are a regular support for Brit legends, The Blockheads, have collaborated with the psychedelic folk band Spirogyra and appeared at the Great British Folk Festival (with Donovan), supported Alabama 3 and are playing various festivals this year. “Fabulous folk” (Canterbury Festival);

Ngawara Madison delivers songs full of bite and passio. She cites Blondie, Bob Dylan, Alanis Morisette, and Bonnie Raitt as influencers. Accompanying her on guitar is ex-Noise Next Door guitarist, Edward Sutton. The two are currently working on a collection of songs at a studio in Soho. @ngawaram
