Epic death rattle ‘n’ roll says the bands My Space. Like the best bits of your record collection says Dead Billy - that’s if your recorcd collection includes Nick Cave, Butthole Surfers, The Velvet Underground and Psychic TV - you get the idea - this is explosive, dark and somewhat menacing rock’n'roll.
Hot Head Show

One of our favourite new bands of 2008 - this three piece from Hackney are fast gathering a cult following and their staccato pop punk blues sounds like a mind blowing mixture of Stump having a Captain Beefheart injection, whilst casually throwing out some high temp Ska rhythms.
With comparison to bands as diverse as Captain Beefheart, Stump, Nick Cave, Minutemen and Girls Aloud!
” are crisp and hectic; listening is like scampering through a fairground with small dogs snapping at your heels. This nimble, racing music is an angry staccato riposte to Deerhoof, with moments of Nick Cave passion and Beefheart blues confusion - they offer the complex pleasure of shaking your head in three directions at once.” Clive Bell - The Wire
Death Of The Elephant

A rough and raw take on punk rock with a pop edge - bringing to mind the best bits of Sleater-Kinney, Bikini Kill and other Riot Grrrrrl sounds. Sure to have all fans of noisy guitars licking their lips with glee!
“The Guitar work drives the band with its fuzzy rhythmic sound, while the singer smooulders like a young PJ Harvey!” – Chelmsford Weekly News
Ripping Yarns

Ripping Yarns is more or less the tale of two gentleman with previous form (EYE HAI, econoline/ Hey Colossus) following their lady friends to a new town, (Cambridge) and teaching themselves the drums to give the locals a taste of noisy indie rock. Each chap takes a turn on the tubs and guitar and the results betray their appreciation for the spinanes, sleater kinney, lords, and ligament. They’ve shared stages with The Wedding Present, Lovvers, I’m being good, Charlottefield, and lots of others. They are both scientists.
