One of my mates rung me late last night just to say how much of a c**t she thought Edith Bowman was.
Mate: Have you seen what that c**t Bowman is wearing?
Bleary eyed/confused me: Ey?
Mate: She's such a c**t, Mares. She's got on a facking skirt, if you can call it that, with wellies with socks pulled up over them because she's so facking chic. Countless scarves around her bastard neck and a stupid hat with a bastard flower in it because she's so fucking bastard indie. The c**t.
Me: (trying to work out who Bowman is and who i'm talking to)
Mate: And I wouldn't mind if she had any musical knowledge but she's a c**t on that score too. No taste, unlike Jo Wiley...
Me: (the sound of Wiley pricks up my ears and we debate why I think that Wiley is an even bigger c**t than Bowman)

I think it's a crying shame that the footage isn't aimed at the up and coming bands. I'd watch it if that was the case. Don't all these big names get enough exposure as it is? Shouldn't they be interviewing the true music soldiers stuck in the trenches and not the ones being helicopted off the site to a luxury hotel?

I caught 1969 and I Wanna Be Your Dog from The Stooges on Saturday night, who I thought looked awesome and some of The Who from last night who I thought were good in parts and rubbish in others. I personally love their earlier stuff (My Generation, Sells Out, Leeds albums) but wish they'd refrain from playing the likes of Who Are You, You Better You Bet, etc.

I don't really see how anyone can call Townshend over rated to be honest. He was exhillerating to watch when I saw them about 7 years ago and even more so back in the day. The Isle of Wight video where they were at their peak as a live act, is incredible.
