Are we all ignoring it? I had a great time at the football on Sunday Egypt New Zealand was a great game which would've ended 7-4 if either side could finish. Massive comedy elements. And the Brazil Belarus game - attack against defence and quality stuff.

Apart from that the Beckettian spectacle of the fencing sit in is up there with Michelle Obama scoring a goal past Spongebob Squarepants in the highlights.

Oh and we got our cheap tickets upgraded for Old Trafford - so just for Bov - here's the view from our seats:



They didn't join in with the Mexican waves - boo!

I've been watching everything from archery to volleyball. Really enjoying it.
Lizzie Armistead's silver in the women's road race, my highlight so far.
Can't wait for the track cycling, particularly looking forward to Laura Trott in the Omnium and the final chapter in the Pendelton/Meares story.
In fact looking forward to every event in the velodrome.

With Cancellara injured, it's between Tony Martin & Bradley Wiggins to win this afternoon's time trial, maybe with Chris Froome taking the other podium place, so even the tabloid press might have stopped whinging by the morning. Think the course may be a little too flat for Emma Pooley to do anything much in the women's TT, though.

That young Lithuanian swimmer being interviewed after winning gold and being totally bewildered by what just happened has to be my highlight!

Good to see Giggs score at an international tournament too, even if it's not one of the major ones.

I'm pretty indifferent to the majority of the event it has to be said, although I'm amazed that travelling through London has been been mostly EASIER since the arrival of the XXX Olympiad. We were promised absolute chaos on the transport network but it all appears to be going incredibly smoothly... nice.

I cried when the two women won the rowing gold.

Have been working from home a lot (much too difficult for me to travel the 400 yards to work) and have been working away with the BBC coverage in the corner of my screen. (how great is that! to be able to pick any of the events to watch online.).

I've enjoyed a bit of boxing and the women's Hockey was amazing to watch. The beach volleyball was disapointingly unsexy but I really loved the archery for some strange reason.

Bob, I went to that btlondonlive thing in the park yesterday, took some great photos as its just ridiculously hilariously empty. The look on the faces of the food concessions was brilliant.
Massive stage (brand new heavies last night), several big screens, bars, big wheel etc but no punters

The judo silver medalist from Charlton was an inspiring story. Girl from poor background who's single parent mum spent all her spare money on classes for her but died about 6 years ago... genuine lump in throat stuff.
