I never had the Mary Chain down as a band you should like. They've always been a bit on the edge of accepted taste - a bit like the Cure, they've had rather more influence than would have been thought strictly proper by music journos.

I heard yet another and band on 6music last week using that Psychocandy drum beat (not one of the Odd Box roster as far as I'm aware... :wink:

). I raised a jaded eyebrow, then laughed out loud when the DJ said the band had been recommended to her by Bobby Gillespie - I wonder what he saw in them then ..?

JAMC have some classics. Sometimes Always, Some Candy Talking and Far Gone & Out being 3 of my particular favourites. Can't say I like everything they've done though.
