Over the last 35 years or so, various laws have been brought in to "protect the public"
For example, It is against the law now to slap your own children.
During the 1960s as a child I remember dropping litter in the street, and a policeman grabbed me by the ear and made me pick it up.
That could not happen today.
As a child, it was safe to go to school, without getting bullied
How things change.
My reference to the 70s it was a safe haven.
Police walked the streets, we where not afraid to go out, it was safe to get on Buses and Trains.
I say this country is divided, its divided by fear !
A 70 year old woman was beat up in a busy town centre last year, as she would not hand over her handbag, people walked on by, unwilling to help.
While the police are bogged down with office work, and filling in forms.
Respect has gone out of the window.
Who do we blame for the state of the nation ?
The Police, The Goverment, America ?
I could go on forever about the way that I feel, but who would want to listen, after all, I am just another number in the system.
and NO, I am definatly not racist - What I am is angry at whats going on.
Angry at the fact 37 innocent people have to die for no reason !
Angry at the fact, it will probably happen again unless this goverment and the rest of the world wake up, and do something about it

Jim - I have been on other sites too and I cannot believe the factless drivel i'm reading especially the anti-immigrant stance. Just read the article on this .

I've debated with the blog writer before about his pandering to the view of the extreme right and please note jaybee 1960 not once did we have to resort to name calling during our debate despite our obvious disagreements.
