And so bang on time, this thread comes round again. The cold weather's worse for Forest managers than for OAPs.

Can't say as I had high hopes for Psycho, but never good to see him go. Can't say as I have high hopes for Dougie either. Avoiding relegation is job 1. Someone at some point needs to be given time.

Saw Psycho being interviewed after the Watford defeat. He looked bereft. Utterly bereft. That'll be his last job in management until England offer him something else.

I like the cut of Freedman's jib and I liked what he did at Palace. Think he might be the sort of 'give him 5 years and a steady amount of cash and he'll do a decent job' kinda guy given the right chance. Not sure that Forest are the 'give him 5 years and a steady amount of cash' kinda club though so...

Blackpool are still reassuringly adrift at the foot of the table, mind. So that's something.

I was a regular for two seasons at Palace when Freedman was manager and I have mixed feelings about him. He worked wonders when they had a transfer embargo and no money, set them up defensively and they looked for 0-0 draws and 1-0 wins, often achieving it, and rarely getting turned over easily. At the time we were happy with that - finishing 20th was fine for the 12 months without money. But he then buggered off to Bolton, leaving Palace in the lurch when they were 4th one October, though still not playing a particularly attacking style, to join Bolton who were down near the bottom. .

Bearing in mind what a huge legend he was at Selhurst, it's a shame that he is now disliked by many.

Yeah my old Palace supporting mate was absolutely thrilled when Freedman got the post-Warnock gig. Didn't really care that he didn't have managerial experience. Club legend and all that. Could've gone down and it'd not have mattered etc.

Really is a shame that. He is still very likeable.
