Saw a 3 song showcase set of Mika's a while back and enjoyed it, don't mind the single though it's hard to avoid, the album is a step too far though, should have held out for some more tunes.
I think those that love him think they have found the thinking mans Scissor Sisters, therein lies the problem.

Well for sure because as much as I like Mika he is like a Primark version of the Sisters to me (Billy Brown is a great song though) The thing with 'camp' musicians is that their songs are really deep but they're singing them with feather boas wrapped round their necks and with glitter on their cheeks and the meanings get glossed over. Some of the lyrics that Jake S is responsible for are revolutionary but he's more known for his Village people dance routines. And I must say that I hate the Grace Kelly video, despise it with a passion. It's full of pretentious knobs. If I had seen the video first I would not have got into the song (like FF's Take me out)
