Why I used to live around West Ham. Every other Saturday I would see thousands of people trekking to games in their West Ham shirts, and ramming the tubes full on the way back out... I'm not one to generalise based on appearance but if the majority of their fans did earn £60k a year, they did a bloody good job of hiding it... What an absolute cretin that man is. |

dont get me started, that article made me so angry when i read it. none of the people i know who go earn that much. i suppose some might be including the players wages! |

does that mean if i get my man to convert from being a charlton fan to supporting the hammers, he'll get a massive pay rise? cool! should be no skin off his nose, seeing as they're terminal manager swappers and are both utterly shite! |

Although he has overestimated it a tad, you'd be suprised I think. Their are quite a few "well off" people that support West Ham, you can tell that from conversations at H/T and on the tube, the dresscode of many. A season ticket at UP is pretty dear nowadays. |

Yeah but there are "well off" people supporting every club, especially in London... Considering the average salary in the UK is, what... £24k I can't imagine West Ham supporters as being drastically above this as a sub-section of the population. That'd just be weird. |
