Orlando Bloom. His stilted delivery is just about tolerable in LOTR where he's spouting bollocks about Wizards and Orcs but anywhere else... yeeesh. Mention should also be made of Robert De Niro. Okay, he's not the worst actor ever, but, well, the word "limited" springs to mind. It always makes me laugh, for example, when people say "it's uncanny how De Niro is like a young Marlon Brando in Godfather II". NO HE'S FUCKING NOT - HE'S LIKE TRAVIS BICKLE IN PERIOD DRESS! And let's not forget some of his recent "phoned-in" performances (there are lots to chose from). In Analyse This, he's out-acted by Billy Crystal. Billy Crystal! And in Hide And Seek he's asked to play a psychiatrist which, I think it's fair to say, puts him a wee bit out of his comfort zone and leads the viewer to ask, "how did Travis Bickle become a psychiatrist?" |

brendan fraser i had the misfortune to watch the heap of patronising, pretentious no-where-near-as-clever-as-it-thinks-it-is piece of hollywood crap "CRASH" this weekend. and apart from everything else wrong with it (lots) it reminded me of what a terrible terrible actor brendan fraser is. with a single line he can pull you out of a story and remind you that you are in fact watching a bunch of people ACTING (badly in his case) which surely is the absolute opposite of what you should be aiming for as an actor. also, i really like matt dillon. i think he's cool as fuck and has been in some awesome films. but like de niro, i am starting to wonder of all of his characters are just "matt dillon"...or at least a version of the only character he can do. |
