Kidman can act, but there's something a bit... well, creepy about her. And her recent choice of roles goes beyond "poor" ("Bewitched" anyone?) and suggests a death-wish that only Mat Damon can match. |

Ah, but for every Bewitched there's a Birth. Quality film. And to suggest that Kidman isn't a good actress because of Bewitched and The Stepford Wives is like saying Will Ferrell isn't funny and Christopher Walken isn't a good actor for the same reasons. Another underrated actor: Daniel Craig. More than just James Bond. Check him out in Enduring Love and The Mother. |

rhys iffans or however you spell it. i saw him in patrick marber's remake of don juan set in modern soho recently and he was awesome. i liked him before that but he blew me away in this. and i don't usually like theatre at all. |

Depends what we mean by underrated. People who could make a lame movie watchable include Catherine Keener and John Cusack. Very good British actors include Emily Woof (though I haven’t seen her in anything recently), Phil Davis and Jane Horrocks (in fact most of the people who’ve made films for Mike Leigh). Brad Pitt is definitely underrated for films like Se7en and Fight Club and, of course, Johnny Suede, while Ray Winstone was fantastic in The Proposition. |
