Amy Winehouse is exactly what we need in pop music. Her voice has great character and presence... she also doesn't come across like she's desperate to be famous like 98% of all the other 'pop stars'. I've got Back To Black and its a pretty decent record. There are one or two horrid mawkish love songs on it but all in all it feels like it's a 'proper' LP rather than the usual vacuous conveyor belt crap the majors normally chuck at us. |
