Really like this band. Great music obviously but I love their refreshing lack of cool and good humour. Following on from their excellent interview with Mary on our site take this for a Q & A:

Questioner: For me image, fashion and pop all seem to go hand in hand - for better or worse. How important is the outfit to you?

Loungs: About as important as the price of bread in Iceland. If you've got 5 haircuts on one head then you are in trouble and should be asked to leave the band immediately. Any reoccuring themes within The Loungs involving headwear, beards, unkempt heads of hair and the like are purely the product of laziness and unresolved personal hygene issues.

I just love 'em. They're just so bloody nice and so relaxed with what they are doing. The fact that image does mean feck all to them and that they are so talented speaks volumes. God, i'm dreaming of the day when substance will replace style. Then it will be R.I.P - NME, skinny jeans, high jaggered hair, pork pie hats, fake posh accents, pretentious gig goers....
