I wish someone would tell their drummer to shut up
They were excellent and I detected more of their swing element. First reviews of indie tracks up on now. Sundays should follow later this week.

Turned out to be a good weekend after all, though very poorly supported (just as well given the ratio of toilets to punters). Travelling on a steam train through leafy countryside as the sun shimmers through clouds of engine smoke flowing past the carriage windows and Rowena Santa Dog plays a live acoustic set is a pretty fine way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Full review to follow; mine will probably focus more on the loud than the twee. None will mention some lobby clerk’s assumption that me and Bola were in town for the heavy rock festival down the road (the Little Chef at breakfast next day was Black Metal City) nor Bola gobbling down a Fox’s Nob*. *a Walsall beer, not Bola going wild in the country. |
