Yes, THE WINDMILL!!!! - 12th AUGUST!!!! TOO MANY EXCLAMATION MARKS I KNOW BUT I'M EXCITED!!! Having previously toured with Art Brut, The Grates and The Pipettes, the band played SXSW 2007 and will feature on a great number of this summer's festival bills. Following the release of their acclaimed debut 'Under The Crooked Moon' on Fierce Panda last year, they have just completed work on their second, 'Blue Hands' and will be showing off their new material alongside fan favourites. …will raise the glamour quota in any indie disco– The Times ....are a three piece contemporary music group from Cardiff. There is no apostrophe in the name of the band, although all members are aware that there should be. Using guitars, drums and voices they make songs about prohibition and drowning. They are all pleased to meet you. The musical equivalent of falling off a cliff, they are sharp, abrasive and uncomfortable; but have they got some magnificent songs! both fractured and beautiful. He's smart, sincere, driven to make you feel okay. Wearing his crisp suit, shirt & tie - he's the sensational Singing Salaryman, singing his own pop songs just for you. Feeling lonely so you don't have to. Getting treated REAL BAD by girls - so you don't have to. Played on Radio's 1, 2 & 6 - he's Tim Ten Yen. ....are a wrong-pop band. That is to say - they try to write pop music, but it often comes out a bit wrong. Wonky, even. Artrocker reckon they make 'innovative, off-kilter, barbed-wire sawing-through-the-brain pop', but Das Wanderlust are too busy having fun with their music to know what they are. ....formed because they were bored of the current music scene and possessed by a desire to write the best, relevent, pop music in the world. The girls, all of whom are male, picked up there instruments and began upsetting people by riduculing anyone who takes themselves too seriously. Expect songs about burning night clubs, self obsession and internet love. WITTER A drunken bet gone too far, Witter are the sound of five idiots raping your childhood. (!!?!?!?!?!?!?) This dancefloor-friendly foursome make music you can shake your ass to while doing the dishes in your grubby flat. Yep, sounds great...at the windmill. Not working so I might come if somebody comes with me. Pointless info - I had coffee with tim ten yen in Angel, once. He's terribly handsome but a right cad i'd imagine. |

we gigged with the housewives the other week. lovely blokes, they had some pretty sweet ideas too, although their attempts to span the genres often left their songs lacking cohesion IMO... |
