The Moths
Fresh from supporting Good Shoes, The Moths is the exhilarating brainchild of song-writing partners James Fox and Dave Lightfoot. The one time live duo have exploded into a full band armed with a set brimming with indie-pop sensibilities. Having been given praise from everyone from NME to John Kennedy at XFM we're confident that this lot are going to be huge.
The Loyal Trooper
One-man-band songsmith The Loyal Trooper's sets involve a flurry of honest pop songs, schizophrenic mid-song banter and plenty of bumbling around looking for his pint. Debut '4 Quid With Flyer' EP was released this month on our very own This Is Fake DIY Records and it's gained exposure on various websites and also had 'Nothing To Say' recieve airtime on XFM. It's good tackle.
The Taste
Munich based duo Maria and Nick Pattusch are gracing the Old Blue Last as part of their fourth English tour. Their disjointed indie-rock is as infectious as it is experimental. Recent support slots have included Jamie T and Shitdisco in their native Germany. The Taste make plenty of noise but there's plenty of melody in there too. Catch them before they leave our shores!
Pocketbooks
Pocketbooks are an indie-pop band from London, brought together through a shared love of tambourines, pianos, glockenspiels, jangly guitars and boy/girl harmonies. Expect beautiful twee-pop at its very best from this London quintet. Pocketbooks released their excellent debut single 'Cross The Line' on 14 May on Atomic Beat Records. Ace!
