I thought that a room for romeo brass was boring - switched it off after 40 mins. Only liked the chips scene at the beginning. The rest of it was annoying and I couldn't endure it. I'll probably return to it at a later date and love it. |

Ooh that's not the barry norman approach! Paddy Considine got on my nerves. They all did, bar Romeo. I cared about him but not enough to keep watching. What twist? The one where the nutter goes 'nuts' and becomes violent due to rejection? He was an accident waiting to happen - the clues were there. A - how quickly he fell for the girl - abnormal that was B - wanting to hang about with school kids (alarm bells) Meadows films are very masculine are they not? I think that there is a laddish culture attached to his style. That's how I feel. There's like a secret meadows handshake 'n' all. Sometimes when you watch a film it's about finding a connection - something you can relate to. I think you boys love that film (every man I know loves it) because you can run your childhood/feelings of inadequacy/trying to blend in alongside it. I dunno. *shrugs shoulders* |
